Today we are going to the capital of Texas, Austin.
Along the way to Austin, we stop at a small town called Marble Falls, for lunch.
And so our american food experience began. I had to have hot wings to start then BBQ Pork Ribs, sssooooooo good. The softdrinks are bottomless cups for about $1.

Laarni dived into a Chicken Fried Steak. That's right, its a steak that is battered and fried like chicken!

The view from the restaurant was great, we sat on a balcony that actually hangs over a river. The bridge to the side is so iconic of American movies.

Back on the road again and just loving the country side.
Going up the main street you see the Capital Building on the hill, it makes you feel like you are approaching the white house.

We parked at the town hall and walked through the town.
At first I was surprised that the Capital of Texas is so small but then I found out that we only saw 2% of it and it is quite spread out. Walked around the town for awhile, great looking buildings but didnt have much time to look at much else. Supposed to be great at night with lots of bars and live music.

Crossing the Colorado River |
We walked for an hour, out of the town, across the bridge and along the river to visit the memorial of Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Head back to San Antonio in time for dinner. Uncle Garry took us to this off the road BBQ place called Rudy's.
